Shoplifter saved too much money at Super Saver, Nebraska police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities are asking for help identifying a man who’s accused of stealing alcohol from Super Saver.

According to the Grand Island Police Department, this happened at the West State Street location just before 1 a.m. Thursday.

GIPD said the man grabbed a bag from the self-checkout stand and used it to hide two bottles of booze.

A worker told officers that they tried stopping him, but the man ignored them and forced open a locked door.
