LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man is facing several felony charges after he was caught with a stolen gun and fentanyl pills.

Lawrence Watson, 45, was charged Wednesday with six felony charges, including two counts of possession of a stolen firearm during a drug violation.

The narcotics task force found him with 12 suspected fentanyl pills and 2.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine during a traffic stop Tuesday night, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators then served a search warrant at Watson’s home near 14th Street and Butler Avenue and found 19 more fentanyl pills and several other drugs.

Psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana and a bong were found in children’s rooms, the affidavit alleges.

A handgun, which was reported stolen last month, and ammunition were also discovered underneath a pillow in Watson’s bedroom.

Investigators learned that Watson had been selling fentanyl since January.  He bought around “300-400” fentanyl pills three weeks ago, according to the affidavit.

A Lancaster County judge set Watson’s bond at $250,000.  He must pay $25,000 to get out of jail.

Watson’s next court appearance is set for Nov. 8.

The children living in the home were placed into the custody of a family friend, the affidavit says.
