Mostly mild week, storms become possible
The average high this time of year is right around 70 degrees. We’ll be at or above that through Thursday, but a cold front is going to push through giving us a good storm chance Thursday. It will also bring with it MUCH cooler temperatures!
Most of Tuesday will be quiet and mild. The high for the day will be in the lower 70s with increasing clouds in the afternoon. A really nice day!
We might get close to 80 the further south you go Tuesday afternoon. Most of us will be in the lower and middle 70s, though.
Lower 70s Tuesday, closer to 80 on Wednesday, then lower 70s again Thursday. Storm chances increase each day!
After a small rain chance Tuesday night, a warm front will push north late Wednesday into early Thursday morning. Some of these storm may become strong to severe along the front.
Because of that warm front, the Storm Prediction Center has much of southern and eastern Nebraska in a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms.
After the warm front late Wednesday, a season changing cold front sweeps through Thursday afternoon. Strong to severe storms will be possible late Thursday afternoon into the evening.
SE Nebraska will be monitored for a severe weather potential on Thursday. Keep up with the forecast on this one because timing and location will likely change a little bit!
