Production Manager
WLNE-TV/ABC6, Standard Media’s ABC affiliate in beautiful downtown Providence, Rhode Island is looking for a full-time Production Manager.
The ideal candidate is a fearless leader with a creative eye. The candidate should enjoy the rush of working in a control room during live newscasts.
This is an excellent opportunity to live and work in Rhode Island, where there are miles of gorgeous beaches. Providence is full of history with a booming arts scene.
Responsibilities:
–Oversee the production team; manage schedules, assign responsibilities, and maintain a professional-look during newscasts.
–Direct newscasts using automation; fill-in when needed.
–Troubleshot for clean technical newscasts; work with team and engineers to resolve any issues.
–Monitor transmitter, record satellite feeds and dub in commercials.
–Edit video using Adobe Premiere.
–Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
–Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
–Experience with live newscast production; knowledge of Ross Graphics is a plus.
–News production experience (preferably with Octopus).
–A team player who is willing to jump in and assist when needed.
–Degree in broadcasting, communications, or related field preferred.
–Willing to work various shifts that range from early mornings to evenings.
