LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities are searching for whoever’s behind multiple tool thefts that may have begun back in August.

A 57-year-old told Grand Island officers his trailer was parked near West 9th Street and North Broadwell Avenue when it was targeted.

He lost more than $3,200 worth of tools between August 10th and September 1st.

A 35-year-old man says someone snatched $2,000 worth of tools from his company vehicle.

Whoever did it cut a cable lock holding toolboxes in the bed of the truck.

It happened between Tuesday and Wednesday, near Forrest Street and North Sherman Boulevard.

GIPD has not released any information on possible suspects at this time.
