Semitrailer hit Lincoln woman riding down West O Street in wheelchair, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for the semitrailer driver who injured a woman in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday.

A white semi hit the 43-year-old woman, who was in a wheelchair, around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southwest 27th and West O streets.

She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

In an update Friday, police shared photos of the semi captured by a surveillance camera in the area.  The trailer has the words “Metro Trailer” on it, according to police.

Investigators think the semi has damage on the front corner of the passenger side.  A “large piece” of the plastic bumper will also be missing, police said.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
