Lincoln Lutheran volleyball secures state title three-peat

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Lutheran’s volleyball team secured another Class C-2 state title Saturday by defeating Clarkson/Leigh in five sets.

The win gives the Warriors their third straight state title, the only program in school history to complete the feat.

Lincoln Lutheran battled hard through the first set, rallying from down 19-12 to win.

Things were a little easier at the start of set two, as the Warriors took an early 10-7 lead and never gave it up through the rest of the set.

The final set began as a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading points, until Lincoln Lutheran took control and ended the match with a kill by senior Sophie Wohlgemuth.
