House fire in northeast Lincoln causes at least $150,000 in damage
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters responded to a blaze late Tuesday night at a home in northeast Lincoln.
The fire was reported around 10:30 p.m. near 68th and Orchard Streets.
The homeowner told Channel 8 that the fire started in the basement.
He said he left the door to a wood stove open, and it got too much air.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue said the fire burned through the flue. Crews found flames in the wall from the basement all the way to the attic.
No one was injured, but the residents were displaced, according to LFR.
Officials said the fire caused at least $150,000 in damage.
