Nebraska troopers made 88 DUI arrests during Husker games at Memorial Stadium

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol made nearly 90 DUI arrests during Husker game days this year.
On Friday, the patrol released the results of its effort to keep roads safe during Husker football games and Volleyball Day in Nebraska.
The patrol said 88 drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Another 485 drivers were given speeding tickets.
Troopers also issued 23 citations for open alcohol containers, 20 for minors in possession of alcohol and 52 for driving under suspension.
The patrol said troopers also helped 278 drivers on game days.
The effort was made possible with funding from the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office.
