Two caught with 69 pounds of marijuana in traffic stop west of Lincoln, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested Friday after deputies found marijuana and THC products in their pickup, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1 p.m., the agency’s criminal interdiction unit pulled over a Chevy Avalanche for following too close on Interstate 80, just west of Lincoln.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said a dog sniffed out 69 pounds of marijuana, 20 marijuana seeds, 1.48 ounces of THC gummies, 2 grams of THC oil, a pound of THC butter and 0.92 pounds of THC chocolates.

“So they got the whole realm of whatever THC you can have,” Houchin said.

The driver – 50-year-old Garner Gehr – and the passenger – 49-year-old Daniel Olson – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver.
