Coastal flooding high concern amid heavy rain, wind gusts Monday
NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Waves crashed against the seawall in Narragansett amid coastal flooding concerns during Monday’s storm.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning and high wind warning for the coast as potential dangerous winds struck Southern New England.
Strong gusts are expected to take down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages began early Monday.
Heavy rain and coastal flooding are a high concern, similar to last week’s storm.
High tide is expected at noon, resulting in waves likely pouring over the wall into the street.
