Man caught with fentanyl pills after crash in Grand Island, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man tried hiding fentanyl pills from officers Wednesday after a crash in Grand Island, police say.
Around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash near Husker Highway and Legacy Drive.
During the investigation, officers learned that one of the drivers – Sean Brooks – had a suspended license, police said.
Officers cited Brooks and told him they were going to tow his vehicle.
Brooks started taking items out of the vehicle, and officers saw him grab a “small item” from under the center console and put it in his pocket, police said.
When officers confronted Brooks, he denied grabbing anything and tried to hide the item, according to police.
Officers discovered that Brooks had two fentanyl pills hidden inside a folded $2 bill, police said.
He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of a controlled substance.
