Snow chances through early next week
Gray and cool sums up the next few days from much of Nebraska through the next several days, but some areas may see some snow and light mixed precipitation through the weekend.
Then, a decent chance for some accumulating snow comes our way early next week!
Temperatures won’t drop off too far tonight. Cloud cover and patchy fog will keep us around 20 for the low.
A very typical January day for Thursday. Clouds, a light southeast breeze, and temperatures in the lower and middle 30s.
For Lincoln, we’ll see clouds on Thursday, then a small chance for light mixed precip Friday and Saturday.
However, further south and west, some areas in SW Nebraska may see some light freezing drizzle and snow Thursday into Friday. Because of this, a Winter Weather Advisory is in place.
Above is what StormCast has for the chance for snow Thursday into Friday.
For Friday into Saturday, light mixed precipitation and light snow will be possible. The above StormCast shows what the radar may look like through that time period.
Above will also show what this particular model is showing for snow potential Monday into Tuesday.
The above StormCast also shows the snow potential, but we’re using a different model with this one and it is showing the heavier snow further south and west for Monday into Tuesday. We still have snow in Nebraska, just not as much.
It’s early! But above shows where the best chance for snow early next week will be. We’ll have updates as we get closer and closer, so stay tuned.
