LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency is reporting a cellphone outage.

In a social media post Friday, state officials said the outage is affecting “several counties” in southeast Nebraska.

The cause is unknown, and officials said updates will be posted as more information becomes available.

The agency initially reported it was a 911 outage but has since corrected the post.

In September, two 911 outages impacted people statewide.

The Nebraska Public Service Commission has since launched an investigation into the outages.
