Nebraska State Patrol responds to over 200 weather-related incidents during storm
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — State troopers have been kept busy during this week’s winter storm in Nebraska.
Since late Sunday night, the Nebraska State Patrol said it has responded to more than 200 weather-related incidents across the state.
NSP said there is a layer of ice on many of the roads right now on top of snow.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation said Interstate 80 was in both directions between Grand Island and Ogallala. It has since been reopened.
NDOT also said Highway 30 is snow-packed and icy in that same stretch. Only local travel is advised in that area.
