Part of two north Lincoln streets to close for tree trimming projects

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A part of two streets in north Lincoln will be temporarily shut down this week for tree trimming projects.

Officials said Q Street between 26th and 27th streets will be closed Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Drivers can take 27th Street to O Street to Antelope Valley Parkway as a detour.

Leighton Avenue between 62nd and 63rd streets will be closed Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Officials said the recommended detour is 56th Street to Holdrege Street to Cotner Boulevard.
