LPD: Group of males assaults teen, flees the scene

Authorities are investigating after a teenager reported being assaulted by a group of males. 

Authorities are investigating after a teenager reported being assaulted by a group of males.

The 19-year-old told officers he was walking outside an apartment complex near 13th and F St. when several males jumped him and began assaulting him. The teen reported at least one of them hit him in the head with brass knuckles.

The teen had several lacerations on his head, police said.

The group fled the scene and police say they do not know the motive for the assault.
