One of Lincoln’s largest employers is getting its workers back on the job.

Kawasaki Motors announced Wednesday its current plan is to resume production over the next two weeks. The plant temporarily shut down on March 20.

The Railcar and Aerospace divisions will start again on Monday, April 27th, while the Consumer Products division will return on Monday, May 4th.

The company said in a press release it has created “a detailed safety plan for this return to work to help insure all employees’ personal safety.”

“We are following the CDC’s guidelines, as well as local government directives, and have reviewed needs for PPE and disinfecting,” the release said. ” We are confident we are following all necessary protocols and providing the safest possible work environment for our employees.”

The release says any employees not comfortable returning to work will be provided with multiple leave options.
