WATCH: Man in skid loader damages several cars, LPD cruiser at Lincoln Home Depot
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man driving a skid loader damaged several vehicles Sunday in a southeast Lincoln parking lot, police say.
Around 2:30 p.m., officers were called to the U-Stop near 73rd Street and Pine Lake Road.
Samuel Peyrot, 36, was driving a skid loader and damaging vehicles in the parking lot, police said.
Peyrot then went to Home Depot near 70th Street and Nebraska Parkway and hit more vehicles, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
When an officer arrived, Peyrot rammed the skid loader into a police cruiser, police said.
The officer got out and drew his weapon. Peyrot then exited the skid loader and was taken into custody.
Peyrot was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault on an officer, second-degree assault and criminal mischief.
Police said that multiple vehicles were damaged and that a man inside a truck had minor injuries.
Peyrot also damaged two nearby businesses with the skid loader, police said.
The skid loader was owned by Peyrot’s employer, according to police. He had taken it to the gas station with a company-owned truck and trailer.
