Cold continues and a late week snow chance
Temperatures are going to continue to struggle for the next few days. We try to warm up on Wednesday, but another blast of cold air and snow pushes in Thursday.
After Thursday, we start the climb to warmer temperatures again and may eventually make it by early next week!
We will once again drop into the teens below zero by early Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately, the wind will still be blowing a little bit, so the wind chill will be 25 to 35 degrees below zero.
After the bitterly cold start, we start to warm up a little. Not much, but it’s a start!
Overall, it’s going to be a cold January day in Lincoln.
If it makes you feel better, the all time record for hours below zero in Lincoln sits at 187 hours. That’s just over a week!
We didn’t quite make it to 187 hours, but we did go for over two days below zero!
We start to warm up on Wednesday, briefly. Snow and cold comes back on Thursday.
That snow chance is being monitored and we may see some minor accumulations by Thursday evening.
