Three injured in multi-vehicle crash at south Lincoln intersection

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A multi-vehicle crash at a south Lincoln intersection caused traffic delays Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported around 9:40 a.m. at 27th Street and Pine Lake Road.

A NOW Local News App user sent in a video of the crash, which involved seven vehicles, according to a crash report.

A GM Sierra was heading south when it went through a red light and hit a westbound Chevy Trailblazer, the report says.

The collision caused the Chevy to crash into four other vehicles.  A tire also came off of the Chevy and hit a vehicle in an eastbound lane.

Two people had “possible” injuries and another suffered a “suspected serious injury,” according to the report.

Eastbound and westbound Pine Lake Road was shut down at the intersection.  It has since been reopened.
