Sports show in Lincoln offers break from ‘yucky’ weather to plan outdoor summer fun
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Various vendors are coming together this weekend to showcase their campers, boats and other products in Lincoln.
The annual Nebraska Boat, Sports and Travel Show is taking place at the Sandhills Global Event Center.
The event started on Friday and runs through Sunday.
One of the event planners, Betsy Egan, suggested distracting yourself from the rain by planning out your summer camping trips.
“It’s winter, and it’s yucky out, and they can come here and dream about all the fun things they’re going to do this summer,” she said.
There is a large number of displays to gaze upon as you ponder your future trip.
“There’s probably over 250 units on display out here,” Egan said. “And you can sit in them, touch them and feel them, and see what you like, what you don’t like,” she said.
You can bring your whole family, as there are activities for all ages, like a petting zoo.
Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for children 5 to 12 years of age and free for children under 4.
