2-year-old injured after falling from second-story window in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A child was taken to an Omaha hospital Tuesday after falling out of a building in Lincoln, police say.

Around 10 p.m., officers and Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a home near Ninth and Washington streets.

Police said it appeared that a 2-year-old child had fallen from a second-story window.  A window screen was found lying on the ground.

The child, who was breathing, was taken to Children’s Hospital in Omaha.

An investigation is ongoing.
