Dog sniffs out 400 pounds of marijuana in RV near York, authorities say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A dog helped deputies find several pounds of marijuana Sunday in an RV near York, the sheriff’s office says.

Around 11:30 a.m., a deputy pulled over an RV on Interstate 80 just south of York.  It’s unknown why the vehicle was pulled over.

During the traffic stop, the deputy became suspicious that the driver was involved in criminal activity, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Loki, a police service dog, alerted deputies to drugs inside the motorhome, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found roughly 400 pounds of marijuana.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of marijuana trafficking.
