Man driving stolen vehicle caught with meth, shotgun in Lincoln, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was caught Friday with a vehicle reported stolen in South Carolina, police say.
Around 1:10 a.m., an officer saw a Hyundai Elantra make an improper turn at 27th and Fairfield streets.
The officer learned that the license plate was stolen in Omaha, according to police.
The Hyundai stopped at U-Stop near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway, and the driver — 38-year-old Mickey Huckleby — was taken into custody.
Officers then discovered that the vehicle was stolen in South Carolina, police said.
During a search, officers found meth, a sawed-off shotgun, 200 rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
Huckleby was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including felony theft.
