Man accused of first-degree assault in stabbing at north Lincoln bar

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday in a stabbing last week at a north Lincoln bar.

Eleazar Morales, 25, is charged with first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, according to court records.

On March 9, Morales stabbed a 36-year-old man in the neck after an argument at Lil’ Risky sports bar near 27th and Superior streets, an arrest affidavit says.

Morales left in a vehicle with 39-year-old Joel Martinez, the affidavit says.

Investigators identified Morales through security video, which captured the “entire altercation,” according to the affidavit.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Morales was taken into custody Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.  He is set to appear in court Friday.

Martinez has also been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting first-degree assault.
