Antique tractors pulling in crowds in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The 2024 National Antique Tractor Pull qualifiers started Friday at the Sandhills Global Event Center.

Tractor pulling is a motor sport where the objective isn’t speed, but power.

Antique tractors ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s pull a sled that increases in weight from round to round.

On the first day alone, 430 tractors competed for a chance to reach the grand finals in Ohio.

There’s a full slate of tractors lined up for Saturday as well. The event, which is in its 24th year, starts at 9 a.m. and is free to the public.
