WATCH: Dashcam captures box truck sliding on ice in York County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The York County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to slow down amid icy conditions.

The agency said deputies responded to multiple crashes and slide-offs Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

“There is a reason we might ask you to slow down,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.  “We want you to get where you are going safely.”

The sheriff’s office shared a dashcam video of a box truck sliding back and forth on an icy road.

The truck eventually came to a stop, and no one was injured.

“We were lucky that this did not add to our accident total,” the sheriff’s office said.
