Man caught with stolen van after driving to wanted woman’s Lincoln home, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was caught with a stolen van Wednesday after driving it to a wanted woman’s Lincoln home, the sheriff’s office says.

Around 2 p.m., members of the Fugitive Task Force were looking for Emily Mach, 28, near 20th and Burnham streets.

Mach had a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance, said Chief Deputy Ben Houchin with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

While authorities were surveilling the home, 43-year-old Kevin Danner arrived in a U-Haul van.

The van was reported stolen in Omaha, Houchin said.  Investigators also learned that Danner was wanted on a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

Both Danner and Mach were taken into custody.  Danner was also charged with possession of stolen property.
