11th annual Good Life Halfsy in Lincoln opens for registration

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Runners can register now for the 11th annual Good Life Halfsy in Lincoln later this year.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. Friday for the half marathon, which is scheduled for Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
The Good Life Halfsy has sold out every year since its inception. Officials said there are over 6,000 race bibs available.
Jason Bakewell, the marathon’s co-director, said there was a boost in attendance during last year’s event.
“This year we plan to capitalize on that by welcoming even more runners to showcase the awesome running community of Lincoln, Nebraska,” he said in a press release.
The race has become a tradition for Nebraska runners celebrating the state and its people, landmarks, icons and culture, officials said.
The marathon also supports a variety of nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity and the People’s City Mission.
