SAT test centers to be closed down this August

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — Nearly half of S.A.T. exams scheduled for August have been cancelled. The College Board announced the decision Wednesday after they found over 400,000 students signed up to take the exam on Aug. 29th. They aim to reduce the capacity of some testing centers in order to uphold social distancing.

The College Board estimates the closures affect 179,000 students. Officials do plan to work with test centers that had to close or reduce capacity to ensure all registered students have the opportunity to take the S.A.T.

Currently, Nebraska sees only one test center closure: Central High School in Omaha.
