Omaha man killed in motorcycle crash in Saunders County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Omaha man was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon.

The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 77 and Highway 92 near Mead.

The sheriff’s office said 50-year-old Bennette Roberts was driving a motorcycle on westbound Hwy 92 when another driver turned in front of him, causing the crash.

Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, 57-year-old Tami Bowen of Seward, was taken to a hospital in Omaha.

Deputies say Roberts was wearing a helmet.
