Midwest’s largest plant sale is in Lincoln this weekend

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Get ready to spruce up your yard in Lincoln with new plants from the Spring Affair Plant Sale this weekend.

The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum is hosting its annual show at the Sandhills Global Event Center.

Organizers said it is the largest plant sale in the Midwest.

Thousands of plants were brought from the Bluebird Nursery in Clarkson, Nebraska.

These include everything from trees to flowers, succulents and other leafy greens, said the executive director of the arboretum, Hanna Pinneo.

She said most attendees are looking to improve their lawns and gardens for spring.

“It’s really fun to see garden clubs and groups that have come to a spring fair for 30 years,” Pinneo said.

Admission to this event is free. Doors are open Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
