Lincoln’s Cosmic Eye Brewing to close in June

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A popular Lincoln brewery is permanently shutting its doors next month.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Cosmic Eye Brewing near 70th and O streets announced that it’s closing on June 1.

“We came to this difficult but necessary decision as we are completely out of money, time, and resources to continue on,” the business wrote in a Facebook post.

The brewery said all events scheduled in May will go on as planned.  It also has “A LOT” of beer and merchandise to sell before the end of the month, the post says.

The business asked that people “be kind” to its staff during “this difficult time.”

“If you have supported us over the years, saying thanks doesn’t even begin to cover it,” the brewery said. “We’ve met so many amazing people, shared in your lives, and cherish every opportunity that the brewery brought us. We hope that you feel the same and continue to live a most cosmic life.”
