Lincoln family will rally after a month goes by with ‘no justice’ in homicide

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln family is rallying as a month passes with no arrests in the death of Greg Little Jr.

Little was shot and killed outside of the Royal Hookah Bar & Lounge in downtown Lincoln on April 7.

The Lincoln Police Department said a security guard fired four shots after an argument broke out about someone cutting in line.

Little was hit at least three times.

LPD has not released the identity of the security guard.

Channel 8 has been pressing police for an update on the investigation, but there have been none in weeks.

Little’s family said they’re not letting it go.

They are gathering outside of the Lancaster County Courthouse at 4 p.m. Saturday for a rally.

“We want all 50 states to notice that my brother was murdered and no justice has been served yet,” said Kelyna Taylor, Little’s sister.

Little was a father of 10, and his family said he was always happy and smiling.

His youngest sister, Joy, said that knowing no one is behind bars has only made it harder to deal with the loss.

“You don’t just get to take a life and live your life after that,” she said. “It’s just really heartbreaking that a month has passed, and we don’t know anything more from what we knew the first day of it happening.”

Taylor said anyone is welcome to join the rally on Saturday because they’re hoping to get as much attention as possible on the case.

“That’s what he would keep wanting me to do, to keep fighting for him for him to get justice,” she said. “And that’s what I’m going to continue to do. Every week, we will be protesting, having a rally, Justice for Greg, until justice is served.”
