LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man from the Nebraska Panhandle is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in 2019.

Chris Wilson, 46, of Kimball was arrested May 2, the Nebraska State Patrol said Wednesday.

He is charged in Kimball County with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 12.

An arrest affidavit alleges that in March 2019, Wilson sexually assaulted a 3-year-old girl.

The girl reported the assault to her mother last September, according to court documents.

The Keith County Sheriff’s Office referred the case to the state patrol, which began investigating in early April.

Judge Randin Roland set Wilson’s bond at $750,000. He must pay $75,000 to be released from the Kimball County Jail.
