Man smashes door in burglary at east Lincoln adult store, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a thief who broke into an east Lincoln adult store last month.
The burglary happened around 3:30 a.m. on April 29 at Adam and Eve near 43rd and O streets.
Security video captured a man throwing a rock several times at the store’s front door.
He then went into the store and grabbed two items before climbing back out the broken window, police said.
The stolen merchandise was worth around $90, and the thief caused $1,500 in damage to the door, according to police.
Police are also searching for a man making fraudulent transactions at several Lincoln Hy-Vee locations.
On Feb. 16, security cameras at the Hy-Vee near 50th and O streets spotted a man ringing up a Kool-Aid packet underneath more expensive items in the self-checkout aisle.
During an investigation, police learned the man had been making similar transactions at three Lincoln Hy-Vee locations since September 2023.
In total, investigators discovered over $1,000 worth of items were not paid for, according to police.
