Overturned garbage truck blocking road southwest of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Rural fire crews responded Tuesday morning to a rollover crash in southwest Lancaster County.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. near Southwest 42nd Street and West Saltillo Road.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said a garbage truck was heading north when the driver swerved to avoid a deer, causing the vehicle to roll over.

The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said.
