Scam claims Nebraskans owe money for toll roads — which don’t exist here

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office issued a scam warning Tuesday.
The scam is a text message claiming that drivers owe money for Nebraska tolls and instructing them to click a link to pay.
But there are no toll roads in Nebraska, according to the state Department of Transportation. And there is only one toll bridge, which is in Plattsmouth.
If you this message, do not click on the link. Then block the number and delete the text.
To report a scam, call the Consumer Affairs Response Team at that Attorney General’s Office at 402-471-2682 or go to protectthegoodlife.nebraska.gov.
