Spotty storms possible into Friday
Scattered showers and storms are possible on and off through Thursday night and through Friday. We catch a break from the storms Saturday, but there will be more chances Sunday and into early next week. Also coming our way next week, a summer feel to the forecast.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for strong to severe storms tonight. Any storm that forms may produce heavy rain, hail, damaging wind, and possibly an isolated tornado.
Above is what our StormCast weather model is showing for storms tonight into Friday.
The best chance for excessive rainfall and potential flooding is in extreme eastern Nebraska and SW Nebraska.
Highs on Friday will be a little cooler than average with the added cloud cover and storm potential.
We get back to the 80s for the weekend with a decent chance at more rain on Sunday.
