Seat belts prevent serious injuries in crash near Norfolk, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded Friday to a two-vehicle crash near Norfolk.
The crash happened around 12:20 p.m. on Highway 24 near 840th Avenue, just two miles east of Norfolk.
A pickup truck pulling an enclosed trailer was turning right onto a driveway when another pickup crashed into it.
The second pickup truck ended up in a ditch about 20 yards from the road, according to the sheriff’s office.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, preventing serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes.
