Former Husker Adrian Martinez picked as MVP of UFL

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Husker quarterback Adrian Martinez on Monday was named the MVP of the United Football League.

He led the league in rushing yards, with 528, and is third in passing yards, with 1,749.

Martinez has taken the Birmingham Stallions to the championship game, which will be played at 4 p.m. Sunday at Fox.

In his four years at Nebraska, Martinez racked up 10,792 total yards, a school record.
