Man gets stuck on top of cellphone tower in southeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Crews rescued a man from the top of a cellphone tower Tuesday in southeast Nebraska.

Just after noon, the York Fire Department was sent to a Viaero tower in Fillmore County.

A man was trapped under steel at the top the tower, the department said.

Photos shared by the department show crews using a ladder to reach him.

The man was flown by helicopter to a trauma center. The department said Thursday that the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
