LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden made a speech in front of supporters late Tuesday night.
Biden thanked his supporters for their patience as the votes were tallied, and expressed optimism at the outcome.
“We feel good about where we are,” he said. “We really do. I’m here to tell you, tonight, we believe we’re on track to win this election.”
Biden said its possible the results would be in by Wednesday morning, but said it could take a little longer. He stopped short of declaring a winner or loser.
“As I’ve said all along, it’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to declare who’s won this election, that’s the decision of the American people,” he said. “But I’m optimistic about this outcome.”
Biden also thanked poll workers, volunteers and canvassers, adding that he and running mate Kamala Harris would be speaking again Wednesday.
President Donald Trump said he would be making a speech at some point during the night.
