Heat coming to an end, storm chance coming back
After several days in the upper 90s and lower 100s for highs and heat indices in the 110 degree range, cooler air is on the way for the rest of the week.
While it is going to be much cooler, it is still going to be a little humid.
A frontal boundary is going to push from north to south on Tuesday which will give us a chance for strong to severe storms in the afternoon.
Below is what our latest StormCast model is showing for timing and severity of the storms on Tuesday.
When the storms first start to form in northern Nebraska, there will be a threat for tornadoes.
Large hail is going to be possible for a good portion of Nebraska.
Damaging wind will be the threat that most of us eventually see as storms move from north to south.
After the storm chance on Tuesday, we’ll see quieter and cooler conditions for a couple of days. Finally!
