65-year-old man killed in ATV crash in rural eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Murray man was killed Monday in an ATV crash in rural eastern Nebraska, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says.

First responders were sent around 5:50 p.m. near 12th Avenue and Baxter Loop, just south of Beaver Lake, on a report of a man pinned under an ATV.

When deputies arrived, they found 65-year-old Daniel Delancey, who was dead, according to the sheriff’s office.

Delancey was riding the ATV on his property when it rolled down an embankment and pinned him underneath, the sheriff’s office said.

Alcohol was not a factor, and helmets were not in use.
