Man found dead at northeast Lincoln plant
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was found dead early Tuesday morning at a plant in northeast Lincoln.
Around 5:15 a.m., officers were sent to the ADM plant near North 73rd Street and Cotner Boulevard.
A 47-year-old man, who hasn’t been identified, was found dead on the property, police said. He was an employee at ADM.
A friend reported the man missing about five hours before he was found dead, according to police.
Investigators are on the scene working to learn more about what led up to the death.
ADM sent a statement to Channel 8 regarding the man’s death:
Early this morning, ADM employees found a colleague unresponsive in a non-operational part of ADM’s oilseeds plant in Lincoln, Nebraska. Employees immediately called for assistance from emergency personnel, but unfortunately the colleague passed away. We are working with authorities to investigate the cause of death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the colleague’s family. We are providing support to the family as well as our team members on-site.
