Severe weather potential: July 30, 2024
There is a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH in place for north central Nebraska through 11:00pm Tuesday, July 30, 2024. More watches may be needed further south and east as the evening progresses.

With storms that do develop, an isolated tornado will be possible in and near the green shaded areas below.
Large hail will be possible, as well. Those near the black hash marks may see hail in excess of 2″ in diameter.
Damaging wind will also be likely, with wind in excess of 75 mph possible for those in the red shaded area near the black hash marks.
Heat is also an issue with a Heat Advisory in place through this evening.
More Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings are in place for Wednesday.
Temperatures will be very close to 100 degrees on Wednesday.
With dew points in the lower 70s, the heat index will top out in the 110 to 115 degree range.
