Mild weekend with spot storms possible
An Air Quality Alert is in place for most of northern Nebraska. Smoke from wild fires in Canada and the Pacific Northwest will drift into the alert areas into the weekend.
We are looking at a mainly dry and mild start to the weekend. Temperatures will start in the 60s and top out right around the average for this time of year.
Most of the day will be dry, but a weak frontal boundary may spark a shower or storm, mainly to the north and west.
Highs for most of us will be in the 80s. We’ll get very close to 90 further south.
Another wave will roll through on Sunday giving some of us a chance at some storms by midday. Monday is looking dry and mild.
