Mild for now, hot by the weekend

Not that we’re counting, but fall begins in 32 days! Halloween in 71, DST ends in 74, and Thanksgiving in 99.

It’ll feel a little like September on Thursday. We’ll start the day in the lower 60s and the high will barely make it into the lower 80s.

Most of Nebraska will see highs in the 80s on Thursday. 79 in Neb City and 92 in Valentine are the outliers.

There is a chance for some isolated strong to severe storms in western Nebraska Thursday.

The timing for these storms is relatively late. They don’t start to move into SW Nebraska until late evening.
